Educational Grants for Events
Events eligible under this category are those in which the scientific content is independently developed by the local organizing committee, with MyICID providing support through an educational grant.
Eligible Collaborations
- Event scope includes state-level, regional-level, or hospital-based events
- Organizers committee must be affiliated with MyICID
- At least one key member of the organizing committee (Chair, Co-chair, Secretary, Treasurer, Scientific Lead, or Advisor) must be an active MyICID member.

- Identification and engagement of expert speakers from the MyICID network

- Type of Event: Regional, State-level, Hospital-based, or Community Outreach
- Expected Attendance: Number and type of participants
- Speakers Involved: Local or international speakers
- Others: Type of activity (education & training, awareness campaign), logistics, prizes etc.

Educational Grant Requests
- Event organizers may submit formal requests for sponsorship or funding support by completing the MyICID Event Grant Application Form and emailing it to: myicid1@gmail.com
- Organizers must inform MyICID if the event is expected to generate income, such as through participant registration fees.
- A detailed event budget must be submitted, including information on all other sponsorships or grants received.

- The MyICID logo and website QR code must be clearly displayed in all event materials, including:
- Event poster
- Programme book
- All promotional materials.
- Organizers may use the template slide and poster prepared for this purpose.

- Organizer is required to
- Play a short promotional video on the Infectious Diseases Online Training module, available on the OpenLearning platform.
- Share the relevant flyers— either printed or in virtual format—with participants.

Grant Utilization
- Organizers may choose one of two methods for grant utilization:
- MyICID-Managed Payments
- MyICID will handle all payments related to the event on behalf of organizer
- Organizer-Managed Payments
- The grant is transferred to a designated person-in-charge (PIC) from the organizing team.
- The PIC will be responsible for:
- Managing all event-related payments
- Maintaining the detailed expenditure report using the Excel template provided
- Submitting the completed expenditure report, along with supporting documents such as invoices and receipts to the Treasurer within two weeks after the event for society documentation and future tax audit purposes.
- MyICID-Managed Payments
- All invoices related to the workshop must be addressed to: Malaysian Society of Infection Control and Infectious Diseases (MyICID).
- Any unused portion of the grant should be returned to MyICID: Public Bank account number: 3219166434.
