This Refund Policy applies to all payments made to the Malaysian Society of Infection Control and Infectious Disease (MyICID) through our website https://myicid.my/, including membership fees, event registrations, conferences, workshops, and other society-related payments.
- General Policy
All payments made to MyICID are non-refundable, except under the specific circumstances outlined in this policy.
By completing a payment through our website, you acknowledge and agree to this Refund Policy.
- Membership Fees
- Membership fees paid to MyICID are strictly non-refundable.
- This includes new memberships, renewals, upgrades, or reinstatements.
- Once membership access or benefits have been activated, no refunds will be issued.
- Event, Conference & Workshop Registration
Registration fees for events, conferences, seminars, or workshops organised by MyICID are non-refundable, unless otherwise stated in the specific event terms.
Refunds may be considered only if:
- The event is cancelled by MyICID, or
- The event is rescheduled, and the participant is unable to attend the new date (subject to written request and approval).
Where applicable, refunds (or partial refunds) will be processed at the sole discretion of MyICID.
- Event Cancellation or Changes by MyICID
If MyICID cancels an event:
- Participants may be offered a full refund, partial refund, or credit for future events, depending on circumstances.
- Any processing fees charged by payment gateways or banks may be deducted from the refund amount.
If an event is rescheduled:
- Registration fees may be carried forward to the new date.
- Refund requests must be submitted in writing within the specified timeframe, if applicable.
- Duplicate or Erroneous Payments
Refunds may be issued for:
- Duplicate payments
- Incorrect payment amounts caused by system error
Such requests must be submitted within 7 working days of the transaction date, along with valid proof of payment.
- Payment Processing & Refund Method
- All online payments are processed securely via iPay88.
- Approved refunds will be processed via the original payment method, where possible.
- Refund processing time may take 7–14 working days, subject to iPay88 and the issuing bank.
MyICID is not responsible for delays caused by third-party payment providers or financial institutions.
- Non-Refundable Situations
Refunds will not be provided for:
- Change of mind after successful payment
- Failure to attend an event
- Failure to use membership benefits
- Personal scheduling conflicts
- Incorrect information provided by the payer
- Requesting a Refund
All refund requests must be made in writing and submitted to:
