This report summarizes key clinical and operational insights from a clinical observership at Royal Free Hospital London, an ESCMID collaborative center with solid organ transplant facilities. The primary objectives were to evaluate pre-transplant donor/recipient workup, manage complex post-transplant infections, analyse surgical antimicrobial stewardship practices, and a tour of the High Level Isolation Unit (HLIU) designed for High Consequence Infectious Diseases (HCID).
